Boot Scootin’ for Santa returns to support local families this Christmas

PARK CITY, Utah — Clark’s Christmas Foundation is once again hosting their Boot Scootin’ for Santa event to make sure local families in need don’t have to choose between everyday necessities and presents under the Christmas tree. The nonprofit will host its annual fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 19, at The Cabin on Main Street.
The 21-and-over event will run from 6 to 9 p.m., with line dancing from 7 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
The evening will feature live music, line dancing for all skill levels, food and beverages available for purchase, and an opportunity drawing featuring prizes donated by local and national businesses.
But at its heart, the event is about supporting local children.
Clark’s Christmas Foundation provides Christmas gifts — including essential clothing, books, toys and sporting equipment — to families in need throughout Park City and other Summit County communities.
“Many local families, including those working in the service and hospitality industries that keep the town running, face real financial strain, and the holiday season can make that strain even harder to bear,” said Kelli Klunder, president and founder of the foundation.
Helping more local children
Boot Scootin’ for Santa is the Foundation’s primary annual fundraiser, with proceeds from the event’s opportunity drawing helping fund the gifts distributed to local families at Christmas.
The Foundation sponsored 175 children last year, an increase from 141 children in 2024.
That growth was supported by 54 “Gift of Giving” sponsors, along with individual donors who contributed throughout the holiday season.
Klunder says every ticket and raffle entry helps the Foundation reach more children this holiday season.
The fundraiser is designed to be as much a community gathering as it is a fundraiser. Guests don’t need any line-dancing experience to participate, and the event welcomes longtime Park City residents, seasonal residents, and anyone who wants to support local families.
This year’s opportunity drawing will include a range of prizes, including a Minky Couture “Sorbet Red” blanket valued at $179, four $50 gift cards from DeeLicious Cafe, and a month of free workouts at The Beau Collective, valued at $200.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enter for a chance to win a Lib Technologies Golden Orca snowboard from Backcountry, a 2026 161-centimeter model valued at $849.99. Other prizes include a Traeger BBQ Mitts and MEATER Pro Duo bundle valued at $229 and two Salomon ski jacket and pants sets.
Tickets are available through Clark’s Christmas Foundation’s website, with advance admission priced at $20 and admission at the door priced at $25.
