SNAPPED: Park City celebrates new accessibility designation

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City community leaders and local businesses gathered July 23 at the National Ability Center to celebrate the destination’s new Accessibility Verified designation from Wheel the World.

Thirty Park City hotels, restaurants, attractions, transportation providers and community services earned the Accessibility Verified seal after being evaluated for features including step-free access, bathroom usability, signage, navigation and accommodations for people with a range of disabilities.

The event also recognized graduates of Wheel the World’s Hospitality Training program and highlighted the partnership between Visit Park City, Wheel the World and the National Ability Center.

Park City is now featured as a verified accessible destination on Wheel the World’s travel marketplace. The Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau plans to expand the program to more than 60 local businesses in 2027.
