Nominate a neighbor for Park City’s community service award

Park City Community Foundation is accepting nominations for its annual community service award through Aug. 17

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Community Foundation is asking residents to recognize a neighbor whose time, talent and generosity have made a lasting difference in the community.

Nominations are open for the 2026 Trisha J. Worthington Community Service Award, an annual honor recognizing an individual with an extraordinary commitment to charitable and community service across the greater Park City area.

The award celebrates people who make a significant difference through their service, inspire others to get involved, and consistently demonstrate excellence in supporting the community, according to Park City Community Foundation.

The selected recipient will choose a local nonprofit organization to receive a $1,000 grant funded by Community Foundation donors. The honoree will be announced during the organization’s annual Community Foundation Grants Celebration in September.

The award is named for Trisha J. Worthington, the founding executive director of Park City Community Foundation. Worthington helped establish the organization and advance its mission of strengthening local philanthropy.

Past recipients include volunteers, nonprofit leaders, advocates and residents whose work has expanded access to health care, childcare, youth programs, recreation and other community resources.

In 2025, the award was presented to Jim Gaddis for his advocacy for inclusive youth sports and Heather Ferguson Sims for her behind-the-scenes service supporting young people across the Wasatch Back.
