Park City photographer earns bronze at international competition

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City fine-art photographer David Winegar has received a bronze medal at the Professional Photographers of America’s International Photographic Competition in Nashville, Tennessee.

The International Photographic Competition is PPA’s annual international event, drawing thousands of professional photographers from around the world. Images are evaluated by PPA-certified jurors based on impact, style, creativity, and technical excellence. Only a small percentage of submissions receive medal-level recognition, the release said.

Park City fine-art photographer David Winegar received a bronze medal at the Professional Photographers of America’s 2026 International Photographic Competition in Nashville, Tennessee, for his image “Snowstorm Sheet Music,” photographed in Wanship, Utah.

Winegar, owner of Park City Photography LLC, earned the medal for an image titled Snowstorm Sheet Music, photographed in Wanship, Utah.

Medal-winning images become part of PPA’s Imaging Excellence Collection and may be featured in a traveling exhibition and permanent archive.

Winegar is a Utah native whose work focuses on landscapes in Park City and the Uinta Mountains, with connections to the Tetons, Yellowstone, and the red-rock desert around Moab.
