Optimize your body at any age: Park City med spa brings new approach to wellness

PARK CITY — When Mike Burchard went to his doctor two and a half years ago, complaining of persistent body pain and fatigue, he expected help. Instead, he got a brush-off.

“He basically told me, ‘You’re a 55-year-old man. That’s life for you now,'” Burchard recalled.

That frustrating experience led the longtime Park City real estate agent down a research rabbit hole that ultimately led him and his wife, Meghan, to open a 4Ever Young Med Spa and Wellness Center in Park City.

The center aims to fill what the Burchards see as a significant gap in Park City’s healthcare landscape: comprehensive hormone replacement therapy, peptide treatments, and aesthetic services all under one roof.

From Personal Need to Business Opportunity

Mike’s blood panels showed low testosterone, but because he was still within the ‘normal’ range, his doctor refused to prescribe hormone replacement therapy. Unable to find suitable local options, he began researching franchise opportunities in the hormone therapy space.

“This is not my background,” he said. “I’m in real estate, so I needed help. It was just more of finding a need for us personally and then thinking that this would be great for our community.”

After evaluating several options, the Burchards settled on Florida-based 4Ever Young and flew to the state to interview with the company.

“They’re very picky about who they want,” Mike Burchard said. “I interviewed them, and they interviewed me, and we decided it was a good fit.”

The decision to open a medical spa might seem surprising given the couple’s circumstances — they have two-year-old twins, Meghan owns kids clothing stores Minnows, and Mike maintains a full-time real estate career.

Beyond Botox and Fillers

While the center offers familiar aesthetic services like Botox, fillers, and hydrafacials, the Burchards are particularly excited about educating the community on hormone replacement therapy and peptide treatments.

“Everyone knows Botox, everyone knows the fillers,” Meghan said. “I think once we educate the community, [hormone therapy and peptides are] going to be big.”

Meghan, who underwent training at corporate centers in Boca Raton, Florida, said she was primarily focused on the aesthetic side but became a convert to the wellness offerings.

“Say someone comes in for Botox and she’s exhausted,” Meghan said. “We say, ‘Hey, you’re here. Why don’t you get your blood tested, do a hormone panel? You’ll speak with our wellness specialist and see what we can do.’ That’s what I did, and I had no idea. I’m on a peptide now that’s helped me so much with sleep and helped me drop stubborn visceral fat post-pregnancy. I didn’t even know I needed anything.”

Peptides — chains of amino acids that occur naturally in the body — act as messengers that signal the body to perform specific functions. Unlike medications that mask symptoms, peptides work with the body’s existing systems.

“They’re not drugs,” Mike said. “They go into your body, and they go to certain areas, depending on what it is, and give the message to your body to do something.”

Different peptides serve different purposes: some promote growth hormone production, others improve skin elasticity, and some aid in recovery and reduce inflammation. The treatments require subcutaneous injections, typically administered five days on and two days off.

“I don’t get sore anymore when I go to the gym,” Mike said. “I’m getting better sleep—I haven’t remembered a dream in years, maybe since my 20s; when I started taking that peptide, I was having these vivid dreams right away.”

A Medical Approach to Wellness

The Burchards emphasize that 4Ever Young takes a medical approach to all treatments. Every hormone or peptide therapy begins with a blood test, and the center has assembled a “rock star team,” including a nurse practitioner with 12 years of experience, a master aesthetician, an experienced registered nurse and a medical director.

“This is a medical treatment. It needs to be treated as such,” Meghan said, warning against ordering peptides online from unregulated sources. “You don’t know what you’re getting if you’re not getting it from a reliable source.”

The center serves clients dealing with common symptoms of hormonal imbalance, including fatigue, poor sleep, low libido, erectile dysfunction, unexplained body soreness and skin changes.

“If you feel different than you used to, you think, ‘OK, I’m getting older. This is normal.’ But you don’t have to accept that,” said Meghan. “You can optimize your body to its best version, whether you’re 35 or 65.”

Mike, now 58, said the treatments have been transformative.

“I feel like I’m 35. I have more energy than I had 20 years ago,” he said. “Traditional medicine will tell you this is the way it is, it’s only going to get worse, and you should just accept that.”

Education and Community Engagement

The center plans to hold bimonthly educational seminars on topics ranging from peptides and hormones to new aesthetic treatments.

For Mike, the venture represents a continuation of the health-conscious lifestyle he’s maintained since his college football days and living in Santa Monica, California.

“I’ve always been into the new healthy lifestyle options that came out. I was always willing to try and figure out whether they would help me,” he said. “With these hormone and peptide treatments, we get to see the results. We get to watch these miracle stories — guys losing 40 pounds and gaining another 15 in muscle and positively transforming their lives.”

4Ever Young Med Spa and Wellness Center is located at 1635 Redstone Center Dr #120, Park City, and is accepting appointments. For more information, visit their website or contact the center directly.
