High school families, mark your calendars: Park City district hosts AP, concurrent enrollment night

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City School District will host an Information Night on concurrent enrollment and Advanced Placement courses on Feb. 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ecker Hill Middle School auditorium.

The district said the event is designed to help parents and students make informed decisions about academic pathways and college readiness.

During the presentation, families will learn about concurrent enrollment options, including nearly 40 Park City High School courses that allow students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. The district said presenters will explain how students can use those courses to earn college credit, an associate degree, or a general education certificate while still in high school.

The event will also cover Advanced Placement coursework, with a representative from the College Board expected to provide information about the AP program. The district said Park City High School offers nearly 30 AP courses, and the presentation will explain how AP coursework is structured and how AP exams can earn college credit.

The district said a key focus will be helping families understand differences between concurrent enrollment and AP courses, including teaching styles, credit options, costs, and final exams, as well as how each pathway may fit different student goals.

The event is open to all Park City families. For more information, contact Adrienne Woolley at awoolley@pcschools.us.
