PARK CITY, Utah — Outdoor apparel brand Stio and Wasatch Adventure Guides are continuing their partnership this winter with a slate of community-focused events through the Wasatch Women Mountain Collective, a free, guided program designed to bring women together on the trail.
Now entering its third year, the Wasatch Women Mountain Collective has become a familiar gathering point for local and visiting women looking to connect through outdoor recreation. The program offers a mix of seasonal activities, from summer hiking meetups and fly fishing clinics to winter full moon snowshoe outings, with an emphasis on accessibility, inclusivity and local community building.
“We really try to meet people where they’re at,” said Molly Henne, operations manager for Wasatch Adventure Guides. “Whether someone is brand new to snowshoeing or very familiar with the trails, the goal is to create a welcoming, low-pressure environment where people can just show up and enjoy being outside together.”
This winter’s featured events include monthly full moon snowshoe hikes, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 6. Each outing is guided by Wasatch Adventure Guides’ female-led team and begins at Stio’s Mountain Studio on Main Street, which serves as the program’s base camp. Participants meet at 6 p.m. before heading out on beginner-friendly routes near downtown Park City, with post-hike hot cocoa or chai and social time back at the studio.

Using the Stio location allows participants to gear up on-site if needed and showcases Wasatch Adventure Guides and Stio’s community focus. Stio also offers in-store discount codes to registered participants, a benefit that has proven popular with returning attendees preparing for winter activities.
“We want this to feel like a true community partnership,” Henne said. “Meeting at Stio gives people a central, comfortable place to gather, and it supports the idea that this is about connection as much as it is about the activity.”
Trails are selected about a week in advance based on snowpack, weather, group size and experience levels. Participants receive a detailed email ahead of time outlining mileage, elevation gain, trail conditions and a weather update so they can prepare appropriately.
All events are free to attend, with optional rental gear available through Wasatch Adventure Guides for those who don’t have snowshoes, poles or headlamps. Rental equipment is delivered to the meeting location, and guides provide a brief orientation before heading out.
“What’s been really special is seeing how diverse the group is,” Henne said. “You’ll have people who’ve lived here for decades hiking alongside someone who just moved to town. Sometimes they realize they’re neighbors while they’re out on the trail.”
Registration details and upcoming dates for the Wasatch Women Mountain Collective are available through Wasatch Adventure Guides’ website, with early signups encouraged as winter conditions evolve.
