PARK CITY, Utah — As winter settles into the Wasatch Back, many families look for ways to slow down after long ski days and busy schedules. For some, that means gathering in a backyard hot tub — a tradition that’s a familiar part of winter life.

The Spa Source, which has served Park City residents for nearly three decades, sees the holiday season as the peak time when families seek out spaces to reconnect. Staff say hot tubs remain one of the few places where everyone tends to put down their phones, share the day’s ski stories and shake off winter cold.

“A hot tub has always been more than a luxury item in this town,” Reazon Singer, owner of The Spa Source, said. “It’s where people thaw out after skiing, talk about their day and actually look each other in the eye instead of at a phone.”

With winter demand ramping up, The Spa Source is offering 15% off all hot tub models through December. The promotion includes every in-stock unit at the company’s W. Lori Lane showroom, alongside delivery, installation and service options.

Hot tubs have long been popular among both locals and second-home owners, particularly during the holidays when extended families gather in Park City. Staff say many customers view them as an easy way to create a shared space — whether to warm up after skiing, host guests, or set aside time together during a hectic season.

“This community has supported The Spa Source for close to thirty years,” he said. “Offering a break on pricing during the holidays is our way of giving something back.”

Founded in 1997, The Spa Source has grown into a full-service operation—Singer, who began with the company in 2012 and later purchased it from founder Steve Hegerfeld. Singer has expanded the team and continued the company’s focus on maintenance, repairs and long-term customer relationships.
