Park City rings in 2026 with torchlight parades, fireworks, and Main Street celebrations

PARK CITY, UT — Park City’s New Year’s celebrations combine mountain traditions with Main Street festivities as the town prepares to welcome 2026 with torchlight parades, fireworks displays, and live entertainment.

“Park City’s event calendar is more robust than ever, and we invite locals and visitors to take part in our community’s festive holiday traditions,” said Jennifer Wesselhoff, president and CEO of the Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. “Whether immersing themselves in Main Street’s brightly lit décor while finishing up holiday shopping, perusing a gallery, standing in awe of a fireworks show, or indulging in an unforgettable meal, we look forward to creating cherished memories for our guests both on and off mountain.”

New Year’s week highlights include:

 

Friday, Dec. 26
  • Park City Art & Music Gallery Stroll from 6 to 9 p.m., offering free admission to participating galleries along Main Street with art, food, drinks, and music at venues marked by Park City Gallery Association flags
Tuesday, Dec. 30
  • Deer Valley Resort’s annual Torchlight Parade at approximately 6 p.m. (dusk) on Big Stick ski run on Bald Eagle Mountain behind Snow Park Lodge, with hot chocolate, cider, and cookies served on Snow Park Plaza from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., concluding with a fireworks display
Wednesday, Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve)
  • Park City Mountain Canyons Village celebration with live music, family-friendly festivities, and fireworks show
  • Park City Cirque final performance at The Egyptian Theatre
  • New Year’s Eve dining specials throughout town (reservations recommended, full listings at parkcityrestaurants.com/holiday-specials)

Ongoing through New Year’s:

 

Through Jan. 3
  • Snow Globe Art Stroll featuring seven life-sized snow globes created by local artists positioned along Main Street, each containing a hidden silver snowflake
Through Jan. 4
  • Après Pendry daily live music from 5 to 8 p.m., with fireside seating, drinks, and comfort food
Through Feb. 1
  • Create PC Holiday Makers Market at the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County, showcasing local artists and entrepreneurs daily from noon to 6 p.m.
Daily winter activities:
  • Park City Mountain Canyons Village Gondola Art Stroll with six art installations in retired Red Pine Gondola cabins
  • Après activities at the Airstream at Canyons Village’s Umbrella Bar with music, drinks, and mountain views
  • Snowshoeing, winter hiking, scenic gondola rides, and tubing
  • Woodward Action Sports Hub featuring trampoline and parkour gyms, concrete skate park, ramp jumps, foam pits, and pump track

Beyond the slopes, Park City offers award-winning dining, shopping along Main Street, luxury spas, and cultural attractions. The town’s two world-class resorts — Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort — operate with snowmaking support and managed terrain as winter conditions continue to develop.
