PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Bureau will award four $250 gift cards to local workers after its 2025 Shop Mountainkind Campaign exceeded spending goals.
The Chamber earned a $1,000 bonus from gift card partner Yiftee for reaching a spending threshold during the holiday shopping initiative. Officials plan to distribute that bonus to four local employees through a random drawing.
Employers can nominate workers through Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. Nominations opened Dec. 10 and will be accepted through an online form available here.
The Chamber will use a random number generator to select winners, who will be announced in the chamber’s weekly Partner Bulletin on Dec. 18. Officials said they hope to deliver the cards before the holidays.
The Mountainkind Card functions as a local gift card accepted at participating Park City and Wasatch Back businesses.
Unlike conventional gift card programs, Mountainkind Card imposes no fees, discounts, or revenue sharing with participating partners. Merchants retain 100% of the redemption value, minus standard Mastercard processing fees.
“We know that about 60 cents of every dollar spent locally stays in the community,” Scott House, Senior Director of Partner Services, said. “This card amplifies that impact, encouraging people to explore businesses they might otherwise overlook.”
The Chamber has generated over $50,000 in Mountainkind spending since the program’s launch.
Park City Chamber & Visitor Bureau officials said the giveaway aims to recognize the workforce that makes the magic happen in Park City and the Wasatch Back. The organization plans to promote the drawing through social media and its Partner Bulletin.
