Mark your calendar: Wasatch Citizens and Town Series ski race dates for 2026

PARK CITY, Utah — The Utah Nordic Alliance (TUNA) and the separate entity of the Park City Ski and Snowboard Team (PCSS) are once again offering community all-comers ski races which are open to all ages, all abilities and all skill levels.

The TUNA cross country races are called the Wasatch Citizens Series and the PCSS Alpine and Skimo races are called the Town Series.

The Wasatch Citizens Series

TUNA’s Wasatch Citizens Series (WCS) ski races have been Utah’s premier Nordic skiing events since 1979. The WCS consists of five events held yearly at the major cross-country ski areas along the Wasatch Front and Back. Two range of race techniques help local athletes prepare for national and international competition.

The WCS also includes shorter distance recreational/novice classes for adults and children, to encourage beginners to get involved in the sport.

Registration for individual/single day races and new season passes must be completed by the Thursday before each race at 11:59 p.m. MST. Participants can register here.

The Town Series

The PCSS Town Series offers evening race opportunities for Alpine and Ski Mountaineering athletes in Park City and surrounding communities. Participants may race individually or as part of a team.
Alpine racing features dual courses with one scored run per course. SkiMo racing uses a looped format where athletes complete as many laps as possible within a set time. All races are at the Utah Olympic Park. Races typically run in the evening, with events scheduled from approximately 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Athletes may register for single races or the full series at a discount. Optional Alpine training sessions are held the Monday before each race.
Intermediate ability is recommended for Alpine. SkiMo is beginner-friendly for athletes familiar with their gear.
