Historic Park City transforms into winter wonderland with month-long holiday celebration

PARK CITY, Utah – Main Street is decked out for the holidays as Historic Park City kicks off a December packed with festive traditions, artistic installations, and community gatherings. From life-sized snow globes dotting the historic downtown to live performances at The Egyptian Theatre, the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA) has curated a full month of activities designed to bring the community together and welcome visitors into the heart of the season.
“Historic Park City is bustling with shoppers, families, and friends gathering to find the perfect gift or share a cherished tradition,” said Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. “From book signings with local authors, a special shopping night out designed just for men, and a variety of Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, Main Street is truly the holiday destination for memory making.”

Silver & Snow holiday window display contest
Now through 12/24
From Small Business Saturday through Christmas Eve, Main Street visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite Silver & Snow holiday window display by scanning the snowflake at each participating window. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place window displays will be announced on Dec. 26.
Snow Globe Art Stroll
Now through 1/3/26
Take a festive walk down Main Street and into a winter wonderland as the Snow Globe Art Stroll makes its much-loved return — again partnering with local artists to create seven unique winter wonderland scenes within life-sized snow globes, each with a hidden silver snowflake.
Cocktails & Cashmere: A men’s shopping night
12/3 | 4 – 6 p.m.
Join this special evening designed just for the guys! Sip on handcrafted cocktails and enjoy light bites while you shop a curated selection of gifts — perfect for all the wonderful women in your life. Wrapping is provided so you can check every name off your list and relax well before the holiday rush begins.
John J. Daly and the Daly West Mine lecture
12/3 | 5 – 6 p.m.
Given by Brian Buck, this lecture will explore the life of mining entrepreneur John J. Daly who arrived in the Park City area in 1876 and became immensely wealthy by building a local mining empire. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located at 2079 Sidewinder Drive.
Joshua Radin at The Egyptian Theatre

Enjoy an evening with this American singer-songwriter whose songs have been used in a number of films and TV series.
Kenneth Peloke at Gallery MAR

A drifter is one who travels or moves about aimlessly, an apt description for both the artist Kenneth Peloke and the wild characters he paints. Inclined to wander creatively since childhood, Peloke now finds himself drawn to animals who do the same. While practical concerns led him to choose a career in graphic design, the sea of change that is fatherhood allowed him to rediscover the drifter-artist within.
Flo! The show! at The Egyptian Theatre
12/5 – 12/13
Local songwriter, Mary Beth Maziarz, debuts a new original musical. Flo! The Show! follows the heroine’s journey of Flo, a thoughtful little quokka who’s on a quest to find the key to authentic happiness. Performed by an all-youth cast.
Santa pub crawl
12/6 | 6 p.m.
Don your best red velvet, elf ears, or antlers and join the merriest crowd in town for a night of festive fun, holiday cheer, and spirited stops at Main Street bars and pubs. The crawl will visit Butcher’s Chop House, Downstairs, Flanagan’s on Main, No Name Saloon, The Cabin, and The Marquis for a grand finale party featuring a live performance from Rage Against the Supremes. Guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys or make a donation to benefit the Park City Christian Center to serve local families in need. Must be 21+ to participate.
Book signings at Dolly’s Bookstore

Stop into Dolly’s Bookstore for a variety of book signings this month. Featured books and authors include Little Red Wraith and AnnaGrey and the Constellation by Lindsay Flanagan (12/6 at 2 p.m.), Motherhood is Big Enough by Kyriaki Birkeland (12/13 at 1 p.m.), Attitude at Altitude by Michael O’Malley (12/19 at 5 p.m.), and Karabian Bed by Ashley N. Silver (12/20 at 2 p.m.).
Zula Nelson: The Life of a Miner’s Wife in Park City 1937-1952 Lecture

Given by Mike Nelson, this lecture will explore the life of his grandmother, Zula Nelson, and her experience as a miner’s wife and mother of four in Park City through the Great Depression and WWII. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located at 2079 Sidewinder Drive.
Santa Comes Down Town Lift
12/20 | 5 p.m.
Santa will be doing a trial run before Christmas and will be making a special public appearance down Park City’s Town Lift. Kids can drop their letters to Santa in Santa’s Mailbox at Miner’s Park to ensure all wishes arrive to the North Pole in time.
Ski Bum on the Run
12/12 – 21
This weeklong holiday scavenger hunt invites friends and families to search Main Street for Rip, the mischievous ski bum. Clues to his antics and whereabouts will be posted on HPCA’s website and Instagram each morning. When families search Main Street and find Rip mid-mischief, they can take a photo and post to Instagram with #SkiBumOnTheRun and tag @historicparkcity. Each day, one winner will be randomly selected to win a prize from that day’s host business. Anyone who participates all seven days will be entered to win a larger prize on behalf of the HPCA.
Park City’s Holiday Spectacular and Sing-A-Long at The Egyptian Theatre
12/12 – 21
This highly-anticipated annual holiday variety show features song, dance, and skits of holiday favorites from an all-local cast! The family-fun event includes the audience favorite choir-led sing-alongs, as well as a visit from Santa.

Ring in the holidays with this beloved Egyptian Theatre Christmas tradition! This Emmy-Award winning composer imparts the joyful holiday spirit to you and your family with traditional holiday favorites and original music to an intimate crowd.
Park City Art & Music Gallery Stroll
12/26 | 6 – 9 p.m.
Enjoy an evening of art, food, drinks, music, and great company while strolling along scenic Main Street in Park City. Participating galleries open their doors to the public for a fun, casual cultural experience. Look for Park City Gallery Association flags. Free event the last Friday of every month.
Park City Cirque! at The Egyptian Theatre

Celebrating 100 years as the jewel of Main Street, this show features The Great DuBois, the world’s most unique two-person circus. This is a fast-paced, high-energy circus show for all ages that is interactive, humorous, and awe-inspiring!
