Four Park City Miners earn Deseret News 4A All-State honors

PARK CITY, Utah — Four members of the Park City High School football team have earned statewide recognition, landing spots on the Deseret News 2025 Class 4A All-State team, highlighting individual standout performances.
Senior Wyatt Knapp was named to the First Team as an outside linebacker. Knapp’s selection places him among the top defenders in Utah’s 4A classification.
Linebacker Ben Souza earned Second Team honors at middle linebacker. Souza was a central figure in the Miners’ defensive unit throughout the season, averaging 10.9 tackles per game this season.
Tanner Pidwell was named Second Team as a punter. After transitioning from soccer to football, Pidwell holds a national ranking of #11 as a kicker.
Eli Warner rounded out the Miners’ All-State selections with an Honorable Mention as an athlete. He highly exceeded national averages for both rushing and receiving yards per game with 46.6 and 63.9 yards, respectively.
The Deseret News All-State teams are selected through a multi-step process involving coaches from across the state. Each team nominates its own players and submits statistics and commentary. Nominees are then grouped by position, and coaches vote to determine the top performers at each spot.
In additional postseason news for Park City athletics, Miners standout Alex Brannigan has signed to play both college football and baseball at Army. A multi-sport athlete, Brannigan fielded offers from several programs, including Navy, Miami University of Ohio, and Ohio University, before committing to the Black Knights.
With multiple All-State honorees and a marquee college signing, the 2025 season marks a significant chapter for Park City High School football and underscores the program’s continued presence on the statewide stage.
