Everything you need to know about how to save $175 on next year’s Epic Pass

PARK CITY, Utah – Vail Resorts is rolling out a little-known but long-running perk for skiers and riders who bought day tickets this season — one the company has rarely publicized until now.

Vail has offered the Turn In Your Ticket program for years but has rarely promoted it. This year, with lift ticket prices climbing and pass sales making up an increasing share of Vail’s revenue, the company is making the benefit easier to find — potentially nudging more occasional skiers into the passholder pipeline.

If you purchase a day ticket this winter, this could be one of the easiest ways to knock up to $175 off next year’s pass.

Eligible guests can apply the value of a single 2025–26 lift ticket — up to $175 — toward the cost of a 2026–27 Epic Pass. The offer is open for a limited time and applies only under specific conditions.

Here’s a breakdown of how it works, who qualifies and what you can — and can’t — use toward next winter’s pass.

Who’s eligible?

To qualify, riders must meet all of the following:

Purchased and scanned a lift ticket during the 2025–26 season at a Vail-owned North American resort.

Were not a season pass holder during the 2025–26 winter.

Used a regular lift ticket, a Ski With a Friend Ticket, an Epic Friend Ticket, or an Employee Coupon. All are eligible, but the credit is capped at the purchase price, up to $175.

Tickets from partner resorts, from Vail-owned resorts in Australia or Switzerland, or from restricted-date workaround purchases do not qualify.

Can I turn in multiple tickets?

No. Even if you skied several days on day tickets, the credit applies to only one day — and only up to $175.

Does my Epic Day Pass or restricted-day add-on qualify?

No. Tickets purchased after using up an Epic Day Pass, or extra tickets bought to ski on blackout dates or at non-included resorts, are not eligible for credit.

Which passes can I buy with the credit?

The promotion can be used toward many 2026–27 Epic Pass products, including: Epic Pass, Epic Local Pass, Regional passes like the Northeast Value Pass and Tahoe Local Pass.

However, promo codes cannot be used for: Epic Day Passes, Whistler Blackcomb Day Pass or EDGE Card, Epic Military Passes, Liberty or Tot Passes

For Whistler Blackcomb pass products paid in Canadian dollars, only lift tickets purchased in Canadian currency qualify.

How do I redeem the credit?

There are three ways:

  1. Online — If you received a promo code by email, enter it during checkout on EpicPass.com.
  2. By phone — Call Vail Resorts customer service at (970) 754-0170.
  3. In person — Visit a resort ticket window.

Even if you didn’t receive an email, Vail says you may still be eligible. Bring your ticket or look up your purchase at a ticket window or by calling the number above.

What’s the deadline?

The offer expires Nov. 23, 2026.

If you’re not sure whether you qualify, Vail’s customer service team or any resort ticket window can verify your eligibility.
