A 23-year-old man was killed early Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash on State Road 210 in Little Cottonwood Canyon, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. near mile marker 6, just past the Lisa Falls Trail, according to the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said a vehicle carrying two 23-year-old men lost control on the road and rolled down a steep area that is often controlled for avalanche danger.
One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene. The second occupant was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not immediately disclosed. The identity of the man who died has not been released.

The Utah Department of Transportation initially reported the crash involved multiple vehicles, but sheriff’s officials later clarified that only one vehicle was involved.
Traffic restrictions were in place near mile marker 6 as crash reconstruction teams investigated.
Drivers traveling into Little Cottonwood Canyon, including those heading to ski resorts, were advised to expect delays.
