Police Log: Underage DUI, suspect pursuit continues into Salt Lake County, noise complaints

Monday, October 27

Incident: Pursuit
Deputies located a vehicle traveling westbound on I-80 whose driver had an active warrant and was driving without a valid license. When deputies attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled, initiating a pursuit that continued into Salt Lake County. Deputies terminated the pursuit on Foothill Drive due to heavy traffic. Utah Highway Patrol later located the suspect and safely took her into custody. She was booked into the Summit County Jail on multiple charges and the active warrant.

Incident: Traffic Stop
An officer initiated a traffic stop for a car on Kearns Boulevard after observing it make a wide left turn from Bonanza Drive onto Kearns.

Tuesday, October 28

Incident: DUI
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-80 westbound near mile marker 141 for multiple violations. The driver was found to have an active warrant, a suspended license, and no insurance. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for DUI and multiple additional offenses.

Incident: Traffic Stop
Deputies stopped a vehicle on U.S. 40 westbound for erratic driving. No signs of impairment were detected.

Incident: Traffic Hazard
A man was reported changing a tire in the center median of SR-224, partially blocking the No. 1 lane.

Incident: Parking Problem
A caller reported approximately 10 cars parked along Lucky John Drive near Monitor Drive for the past two weeks, creating a safety hazard for pedestrians.

Incident: Disturbing the Peace
Loud music was reported near the office area of the Holiday Village Apartments on Monitor Drive. The apartment number was unknown.

Thursday, October 30

Incident: Traffic Stop
An officer stopped a vehicle on SR-224 near Meadows Drive for a burned-out headlight.

Incident: Disturbing the Peace
A caller on Samuel Colt Court reported a barking dog around 10 p.m. and requested an officer to check the area.

Incident: Disturbing the Peace
A noise complaint was reported on Prospector Avenue after 10:00 p.m. for a loud party in violation of city ordinance.

Friday, October 31

Incident: Traffic Hazard
Deputies responded to Marsac Avenue near Hillside Avenue for a dump truck blocking the roadway after its brakes seized.

Incident: Business Assist
Deputies assisted a school bus attempting to navigate through Main Street traffic to reach Heber Avenue.

Incident: Suspicious Circumstance
Two males were seen standing on a building across from the Red Banjo Pizza deck on Main Street.

Incident: Citizen Assist
A caller on Prospector Avenue reported a person who had accidentally locked himself out on a third-floor balcony.

Saturday, November 1

Incident: Warrant Arrest
Deputies responded to a business on Canyons Resort Drive where a man was no longer welcome on the property. Before contact was made, deputies learned he had active warrants. The man was arrested and booked into the Summit County Jail.

Incident: DUI / Eluding
Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle eastbound on I-80 near mile marker 162. The vehicle initially failed to yield but later stopped. After investigation, the driver was arrested for DUI and eluding law enforcement.

Sunday, November 2

Incident: DUI
Deputies observed a vehicle traveling north on SR-224 near Newpark Boulevard at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped on I-80 westbound near mile marker 143. Deputies detected the odor of alcohol, and all occupants were found to be under 21. The driver was arrested and transported to the Summit County Jail. The vehicle was impounded, and the passengers were released to a sober driver.

Incident: Suspicious Circumstance
A vehicle with all doors open and unoccupied was reported on Iron Horse Drive.
