Police Log: Retail theft and drug arrests at Junction Commons; multiple hit-and-runs reported

Monday, November 3

Incident: Disturbing the Peace
A caller reported a loud party in a building on Kearns Boulevard after midnight. The caller was unsure which room or floor the noise was coming from.

Incident: Trespassing
A resident on Park Avenue reported finding a person sleeping in the second-floor stairwell upon returning home.

Incident: Citizen Assist
A caller on Ledger Way requested to speak with an officer after her landlord began eviction proceedings following her request for electrical repairs required for her residence.

Incident: Traffic Hazard
Deputies removed padding material from the roadway at Kearns Boulevard and Comstock Drive.

Incident: Lost Property
A caller reported losing a brown knockoff Ridge wallet on October 30, possibly at Fresh Market or Alberto’s on Park Avenue.

Incident: Found Property
Officers contacted the owner of a wallet found on Snow Creek Drive. The owner retrieved the wallet from The Market.

Incident: Possession of Firearms While Intoxicated
A man was taken into custody after deputies found him parked at a local business with multiple firearms in his vehicle and a blood-alcohol level of .394—nearly eight times the legal limit.

Wednesday, November 5

Incident: Drugs
Deputies located a vehicle with a stolen registration at 6699 N. Landmark Drive near the Nike store. Both occupants were arrested on multiple offenses. The passenger was charged with retail theft, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. The driver was charged with possession of multiple stolen license plates, financial cards, and identifying documents, as well as possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. The vehicle was impounded.

Incident: Drugs/Retail Theft
Deputies contacted two suspects at Junction Commons who were stealing from several stores. Narcotics, stolen property, and an anti-theft device remover were found in their vehicle.

Incident: Animal Problem
A caller reported a Doberman tied to a fence at the north end of City Park on Sullivan Road, possibly being trained.

Incident: Property Damage
The president of an HOA reported that an employee had hit a building’s garage and needed a report filed for insurance purposes.

Thursday, November 6

Incident: Alcohol Offense/Warrants
Deputies stopped a vehicle on SR-224 near Rasmussen Road for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for outstanding warrants, driving on a suspended license, and not having the required ignition interlock device.

Incident: Traffic Stop
A deputy stopped a driver on Sullivan Road and Deer Valley Drive for making an improper left turn through an oncoming lane.

Incident: Suspicious Activity
A caller on Amundsen Court reported a driver attempting to enter their neighborhood who nearly struck several people in the lot.

Incident: Utility Issue
Officers responded to a water usage alert on Stonebridge Circle, where over 2,100 gallons had been used in seven hours while no one was home.

Friday, November 7

Incident: Traffic Stop
A deputy stopped a driver on Meadows Drive and SR-224 for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle.

Incident: Traffic Violation
A driver on Deer Valley Drive and Bonanza Drive was cited for not yielding to a pedestrian in the crosswalk.

A caller on Marsac Avenue reported that someone hit their parked car and left a note but had not responded to any attempts to contact them.

Incident: Wildlife Problem
A caller on Cooke Drive reported a young male deer lying in their backyard unable to move. The caller said the deer was still alive but they were unsure what to do.

Incident: Citizen Assist
A caller on Kearns Boulevard reported three juveniles riding through a parking lot between cars — one on an e-bike and two on regular bicycles.

Incident: Hit and Run
A caller on Main Street reported a hit-and-run involving a yellow Kia Seltos parked outside a restaurant about 10–15 minutes before the call.

Sunday, November 9

Incident: Suspicious Activity
A resident on Park Avenue reported hearing a loud, high-pitched noise around 8 a.m., possibly coming from a nearby hot tub.

Incident: Suspicious Activity
A caller on Rising Star Lane reported vehicles parked near a camo tent at the dead end of the road. The caller believed the area was on BLM land and described a gray Ford F-150 nearby.

Incident: Hit and Run
A driver on Park Avenue reported being hit while exiting a parking garage. Both drivers agreed to meet at another location, but the other driver failed to arrive at the location.

Incident: Citizen Assist
A caller at the China Bridge parking garage reported that a boot hadn’t been removed their car despite paying the parking fine two days earlier.
