PARK CITY, Utah — Operation Hope returns this year, and organizers say they are urgently seeking donations of new gifts and warm winter coats for children and teens across Summit and Wasatch counties.
Nearly 2,000 children are registered for the program this year, with organizers estimating an average cost of about $100 per child. While donations for all ages are welcome, the greatest need is for teen gifts — especially for teen boys.
Residents can shop independently and deliver items to either Christian Center of Park City (CCPC) campus or to designated community drop boxes. Gifts are due by December 5 and can be dropped off at any Christian Center store or location. Volunteer opportunities are available for the event on December 9-10 as well.
Donors may also purchase items through the Summit County and Wasatch County Amazon wishlists, where contributions ship directly to the event venue. Financial donations are also accepted.
In addition to gifts and coats, volunteers are preparing to wrap nearly 5,000 items and are asking the community to donate wrapping supplies, including wrapping paper, gift bags, tape, and tissue paper. Both new and gently used supplies are welcomed.
Organizers expressed gratitude for ongoing community support, noting that every contribution helps brighten the holiday season for local families.
