PARK CITY, Utah — The Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter is opening their newest interactive exhibit: the Wetland Supermarket.
This free exhibition will be original and unique to Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter and will be open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm from November 28 to January 4. Afterwards, it will be displayed seasonally for years to come, according to staff at Swaner.
Inspired by the “Walmarsh” chapter from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s “Braiding Sweatgrass,” the Wetland Supermarket is an immersive educational experience that highlights the essential “goods and services” wetlands provide to both people and wildlife.

“A prototype of the Wetland Supermarket has been on display at the EcoCenter the past month and we are so excited to incorporate the final version of this opportunity for learning through play at the EcoCenter,” said Swaner’s Director of Exhibits, Hunter Klingensmith.
The exhibit invites visitors to “become a critter of the Preserve and ‘shop’ for everything you need to survive from the wetland supermarket.” Included in the experience is the opportunity to dress up as wetland animals, use a shopping list to gather essential wetland resources, check out at the register, and more.
