Charlie Cusimano, number 11, is another senior and he’s one of them already signed to continue playing football, perhaps again as a wide reciever. His was among the families of each individual senior player whose names were announced over the P.A. system, had their photo up on the digital scoreboard, given flowers, had official photos taken, and given a round of applause by the crowd and the rest of the team lined up on both sides as the walked between them before the kickoff.
Cusimanos’ actionable prediction became a reality after he told TownLift, “We’re going to go out there, put our best foot forward, and hopefully win by a lot of points.” In summarizing the season so far he said, “It’s been kinda rough at certain times, but we’ve learned a lot through our losses and are applying those lessons moving forward.”
His Mom Carey added, “Charlie has been an fun athlete to follow since he was a little kid at four years old. We’re so proud of all he’s accomplished through his years in the Park City School District, tonight we’re happy to be here to be able celebrate him and his achievements, and have a good time watching this great team.” Commenting on the fact that he’ll play at Wesleyan in Connecticut, Andrew, Charlie’s Dad concluded with, “I’m excited that he’s going to have the opportunity to play sports in college, attend a fantastic university, and have an amazing experience.”

A late-quarter passing touchdown by the Miners ended the first with Park City up 7 – 0 against the Timberwolves.
Park City’s field goal with five minutes left in the second quarter, then a repeat performance with one to go, and once again for a 3 with seconds to go, made the halftime score 16 – 0 Miners.

A third quarter rushing touchdown brought the score to 23 – 0, then Timpanogos scored a safety giving them the only 2 points they’d post all night.
Rushing in one more touchdown wrapped it all up for Park City ending this conference match up with the team from Orem at 30 – 0.
Overall, the Miners are now five and four, and within their Region Eight they are three and one which puts them in second place for 4A.
On Wednesday the team will travel to Vernal to take on Uintah High School’s Boys Varsity Football.
