National Ability Center to host “Saluting Our Heroes” Fundraiser honoring Veterans

PARK CITY, Utah — PARK CITY, Utah — The National Ability Center (NAC) will host its annual Saluting Our Heroes fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. at its Park City campus to honor and support active-duty service members, veterans, and their families.

This year’s event will feature keynote speaker Major General Michelle Donahue, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command, Sustainment Center of Excellence, and Fort Lee. Also joining will be U.S. Army veteran and Paralympian Orlando Perez, whose story of resilience aligns with the NAC’s mission of empowerment through adaptive recreation.

“Saluting Our Heroes is more than a celebration—it’s a promise,” said Willie Ford, CEO of the National Ability Center. “At the NAC, we see firsthand how our programs restore confidence, strengthen families, and build community for those who have served. This evening is about honoring the resilience of our veterans and active-duty service members while ensuring they have every opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. Serving those who have served us is a true honor.”

Proceeds from the event will directly support the NAC’s military programs, which provide adaptive recreation, rehabilitation, and community connection for veterans and their families. The programs include activities such as alpine and Nordic skiing, horseback riding, cycling, and rafting—each designed to promote healing, confidence, and camaraderie.

The event is open to the public, with tickets required for entry. Attendees will hear personal stories from veteran participants and experience a night dedicated to honoring service and sacrifice.

Tickets and event details are available at Saluting Our Heroes. For more information about the National Ability Center, visit discovernac.org.
