PARK CITY, Utah — USA Bobsled/Skeleton announced on Monday that Flavor Flav has committed to being an official sponsor and hype man for the team for the upcoming season on its journey to the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Flavor Flav is an American rapper and television personality, and a founding member of Public Enemy, a rap group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, recipients of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and six-time Grammy Award nominees. Public Enemy recently completed a world tour with Guns N’ Roses and released their first album in five years.
“The partnership is a blessing. It’s cooler than Cool Runnings. It’s Coolest Runnings,” shared Flav to USABS.
Last year, around the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, he signed a sponsorship deal in support of the U.S. Water Polo Teams as the team’s official hype man. Now, he is expanding into the world of Winter Olympic sports by supporting the USA Bobsled/Skeleton Teams on the road to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
Flav has officially joined as a member of USA Bobsled and Skeleton. Over the weekend he participated in several bobsled rides and skeleton runs at Utah Olympic Park.
Flav even brought out some of his friends from Maroon 5, who participated in a passenger bobsled ride. He then surprised some of the athletes and took them to Maroon’s concert on Saturday night in Salt Lake City.
Flav plans to be in Milan-Cortina for the duration of the Olympics to support his team and teammates.
“We are thrilled to welcome Flavor Flav as an official sponsor and hype man for USA Bobsled/Skeleton,” said Aron McGiure, CEO of USABS in a statement. “It’s clear he has a genuine passion for sports and an authentic love for the USA team. Flavor Flav embodies the same grit, dedication, and pride that define our athletes, and we’re excited to have him bring that excitement to our team and fans across the country.”
