42-0 final for Miners in football against Uintah High launching them into the playoffs

VERNAL, Utah — In the 4A boys game between the Park City Miners and Uintah High School Utes on Oct. 15, the Miners defeated the Utes 42-0 in the regular season finale to secure a first-round playoff.
The shutout was the first of the season for Park City’s defense.
The Miners’ offense was led by star running back Eli Warner, who scored three touchdowns (two receiving and one rushing). Quarterback Josh Hofer threw three passing touchdowns, all over 25 yards.
Park City’s defense held the Utes scoreless for the entire game, allowing Park City to finish the regular season with a 6-4 overall record.
Next up in the playoff brackets the Miners play away against the 7-4 Sky View Bobcats in Smithfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31.
