SUMMIT COUNTY — Summit County has been named to the 2025 cohort of Utah’s 100 Companies Championing Women, a recognition program from the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity and the Utah Women & Leadership Project.
The designation highlights employers across the state that adopt family-friendly policies and initiatives aimed at recruiting, retaining, and advancing women in the workplace.
“Being named as one of Utah’s 100 Companies Championing Women is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to supporting women in our workforce and community,” Summit County Manager Shayne Scott said in a statement. “Summit County is proud of the talented, dedicated individuals working in our government and elected offices.”
According to county officials, local policies that contributed to the recognition include childcare support, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, flexible work schedules, and a “newborns at work” program.
Summit County was also recognized earlier this year as one of The Best Place for Working Parents!® in Salt Lake, Summit, and Wasatch counties.
The 100 Companies Championing Women list is part of the state’s Inspire In Utah initiative, which spotlights organizations that advance women through workplace practices and leadership opportunities.
