Monday, September 22
Incident: Theft
Deputies responded to a theft report at the JC Country store at the Park City Outlets. An employee was accused of stealing $1,900 in cash and checks. After an investigation, the employee was arrested and transported to the Summit County Jail.
Incident: Wildlife Problem
A moose was reported on a job site along Kearns Boulevard. The caller requested assistance in removing the animal safely to avoid injuries.
Incident: Vagrancy
At the Park City Post Office, a male was reported defecating and urinating in the stairwell. Empty alcohol containers and a cooler were also found at the scene.
Incident: Threatening
At the Gillmor Way dog park, a person reportedly made several threats toward the complainant’s dog around 2 p.m.
Tuesday, September 23
Incident: Death
Deputies responded to Echo Reservoir after reports of a kayaker taking on water. The male was later located by SAR personnel in approximately 40 feet of water. He was taken to the medical examiner’s office and family was notified.

Incident: Juvenile Problem
Juveniles on e-bikes were reported causing damage to flowerbeds, flipping people off, and doorbell ditching on Kinley Drive.
Incident: Non-Reportable Accident
A bus struck a vehicle’s side-view mirror on Main Street.
Wednesday, September 24
Incident: Alcohol Offense
During a traffic stop for speeding on I-80 eastbound, deputies observed several open containers of alcohol in plain view. The driver was cited for speeding and open container.
Incident: DUI
Deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Elizabeth Mountain Road. EMS transported the driver and passenger to the hospital before deputies arrived. A DUI investigation determined the driver was impaired, and he was cited and released.
Thursday, September 25
Incident: Warrant Service
A suspect was stopped for multiple traffic violations on SR-224. The investigation revealed outstanding warrants. The suspect was arrested on the warrants and new charges. The vehicle was towed.
Friday, September 26
Incident: Non-Injury Accident
Deputies responded to a non-injury accident at 185 Aspen Drive. A truck crane with its boom raised struck the I-80 overpass, causing minor bridge damage and disabling the truck. The driver was cited. Traffic was restricted for several hours during cleanup.
Saturday, September 27
Incident: Aggravated Assault
Deputies responded to a fight at McDonald’s on Ute Boulevard. A male became upset after being asked to leave the store and pushed an employee to the ground, causing injury. He was arrested and booked.
Incident: DUI
A driver was stopped outside Walmart on Landmark Drive and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Incident: DUI
Deputies found a running vehicle parked on a blind corner on Bobsled Drive. The driver admitted to leaving a party and appeared intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI.
Incident: Intoxication
At the Newpark Hotel, staff reported an unconscious male in a bathroom. The male was found to be intoxicated, injured from a fall, and unable to care for himself. He was medically cleared and booked into jail.
Incident: Suspicious Person
A male refused to leave a bar on Main Street but departed peacefully after officers intervened.
Incident: Accident / Wildlife
A Subaru struck an elk on SR-248. The vehicle pulled to the shoulder while the elk remained in the roadway.
Sunday, September 28
A hunter was reported riding a motorcycle on the 9K Trail in Bonanza Flat, where motorized vehicles are prohibited.
