Park City Council to discuss water rates, parking, and housing development at Thursday meeting

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Council will meet Thursday at 3:40 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Marsac Building to weigh decisions on city services and discuss development. Residents can participate in person and online to listen and share their thoughts during public comment periods.

Resident Parking Program
Council members will review possible changes to the Residential Permit Parking Program. The discussion will focus on aligning program policies with Council priorities and providing direction to the Parking Services team.

Water Rate Adjustments

Following up on discussions from August 26, the Public Utilities team will present amended fee options aimed at reducing penalty pricing for Single Family and Irrigation water customers. The Council will consider adopting a resolution to authorize these changes.

July and August marked the first peak irrigation season under Park City’s updated rate structure that was meant to relieve ratepayers from reaching penalty water pricing as long as they stay under their allocated water budget per lot size.

After hearing customer feedback, the council scheduled a review of the policy and took public comment at the August 26 meeting.

Childcare Scholarship Program

The Council will hear an update on the City’s childcare program, including potential adjustments to its structure and funding to better support families.

Clark Ranch Affordable Housing Development

Council members will discuss design preferences, housing mix, and potential City financial contributions for the proposed Clark Ranch housing development near U.S. 40.

Residents who wish to provide input can attend the meetings in person at City Hall or submit comments online through the City’s website. Click here to view the agenda
