Local restaurants offer wine dinners, specials throughout September

PARK CITY, Utah — As summer gives way to fall, Park City’s culinary landscape comes alive with an enticing array of wine dinners, seasonal specials, and new openings that showcase why this mountain town has become a premier dining destination.
The Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) is unveiling an impressive lineup of September events that cater to every palate, from intimate wine tastings to festive brewery celebrations. The month serves as a warm-up to October’s highly anticipated 13th Annual Park City Dine About, a month-long celebration of the local dining scene featuring special menus and offerings throughout the area.
“As summer winds down, our restaurants are offering a collection of intimate wine dinners, as well as ongoing locals’ specials every day of the week,” Park City Area Restaurant Association Executive Director Ginger Wicks said. “Plus, we’re gearing up for October’s Park City Dine About, our annual celebration of our local dining scene, which will be announced in the coming weeks.”
September wine events featuring acclaimed vineyards
New Executive Chef Tobin Torrez presents three-course meals with wine pairings and live entertainment throughout September. The relaxed mid-week format offers elevated cuisine at $64 per person, with a food-only option for $32.
Pine Cone Ridge Duckhorn Wine Dinner – Sept. 11
Chef Gudrun Thorne-Thomsen crafts a five-course menu paired with wines from the distinguished Duckhorn Portfolio, showcasing “terroir-driven excellence” for $265 per guest.
tupelo BYOW Italian Super Tuscans – Sept. 20
Executive Chef Matthew Harris presents a curated five-course menu including cocoa spice venison carpaccio and Niman Ranch porchetta. Guests bring their favorite Italian Super Tuscan bottles to pair with the $200 meal.
Firewood x Antinori Wine Dinner – Sept. 24
A sumptuous five-course meal with Italian wine pairings from Marchesi Antinori wines, priced at $500 per person for serious oenophiles.
Beyond Wine: Beer, Art, and New Openings
Deer Valley Resort Mountain Beer Festival – Sept. 12-14
This three-day event combines scenic chairlift rides with craft beer tastings, live music, and family activities, featuring Utah’s finest breweries and full-strength varieties against the stunning mountain backdrop.
Alpine Distilling Social Aid and Pleasure Club Paint Party
Artist Briar West hosts this innovative two-hour experience combining craft cocktails with hands-on art instruction, allowing participants to create paintings using ink dissolved in locally made spirits.
CHOMP Donuts & Coffee Grand Opening
Celebrate the new Kimball Junction location featuring fresh donuts paired with coffee from Millcreek Coffee Roasters on Sept. 15.
Ongoing Offerings
The new mountain cidery, founded by former High West team members Brendan and Carly Coyle, has opened in Kamas. Their flagship Dry Cut cider is now available throughout Park City restaurants and at their bottle shop, open Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m.
Savor Irish fayre and festivities with Taco Tuesday specials, Prime Rib Night on Thursdays starting at 5 p.m., live DJ in the tavern on Fridays at 9 p.m., and Saturday night karaoke from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.
Open nightly 5-9 p.m. Enjoy a Two for $60 Summer Special with two starters, two sides, and two entrees. Plus, the famous bottomless salad bar for $7.75 with entrée purchase.
