“KPop Demon Hunters” star May Hong joins Utah FanX lineup

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — One of the voices behind the most-watched Netflix movie ever is headed to FanX in Salt Lake City.

May Hong, who voices Mira in Sony Animation’s “KPop Demon Hunters,” will be among the celebrity guests at the pop culture convention later this month. The animated hit, which began streaming on Netflix on June 20, has become the platform’s most-watched original title of all time, amassing more than 266 million views.

Hong provides Mira’s speaking voice, while singer-rapper Audrey Nuna performs the character’s songs. The film’s soundtrack has also made waves on the charts, adding to its breakout success.

FanX Salt Lake City will take place Sept. 25–27 at the Salt Palace Convention Center and will feature more than 150 guests, including actors, authors, content creators, and more. Other big names on this year’s lineup include Ke Huy Quan (“Everything Everywhere All At Once”), William Shatner (Star Trek), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), and fantasy author Brandon Sanderson.
