PARK CITY, Utah — Artists and art admirers flooded Historic Main Street last weekend during the 56th Annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival.
The three-day event is one of the top ranked art festivals in the world, featuring over 200 jury-selected artists from around the country, showcasing 13 different art mediums.
This year, the best “Overall Artist” award went to Yves Goyatton, a French artist living in California. His bronze sculptures have earned him best in show for the sculpture category for the past two years in a row. His featured piece, “Separation Anxiety,” demonstrates how he’s been experimenting with subtraction in his work.

Parkite Karen Miller Kendall took home a best in show award for the Local Artist category. Her mixed media landscapes are inspired by her love of abstract art and affinity for the outdoors. “Getting this award was hugely surprising and such an honor,” Kendall said.

Beyond the art, festival-goers enjoyed live music, food, and hands-on art activities. Earnings from the festival will support the Kimball Art Center‘s year-round programs.
