PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Water Polo (PCWP) is inviting newcomers to dive in and try the sport for free during the first week of their fall season, which begins Monday, Aug. 18. The offer applies to youth and high school athletes at any point in the season, giving curious players a no-cost opportunity to test the waters.
High school practices will run from 3 to 5 p.m., while youth practices are scheduled from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. at the Park City Aquatic Center. A parent information meeting for youth participants will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 18.
In addition, the club’s “Splashball” program — a non-contact introduction to water polo for younger kids — will host a free opportunity to try out the sport on Friday, Aug. 22.
Founded 13 years ago, PCWP has a track record of success. The program has earned multiple state championships, most recently with both the 18U men’s and women’s teams winning Club State titles in spring 2024 while competing under the United Water Polo banner alongside Skyline. The high school varsity women won the Utah High School State Championship in 2021, and the varsity boys took the title in 2019.
PCWP coaches bring high-level experience, including competition for the USA National Team and Division 1 collegiate programs.
