PARK CITY, Utah — A 12-week in-person snow conditioning program is set to return to the Beau Collective from Sept. 1 to Nov. 20, offering sport-specific training for Nordic and alpine skiers, snowboarders, and others preparing for winter.
Led by former professional skier Ashley Battersby, the program features small-group classes designed to improve strength, endurance, stability, mobility, agility, and power ahead of the winter season.
Participants can choose between two schedules: Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. or Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. Early-week classes emphasize foundational strength and stability to help prevent injury, while later-week sessions focus on plyometrics, agility, speed, and power to sharpen reaction time and dynamic movement.
Organizers say the program offers ski-specific preparation that translates directly to performance on snow, along with stronger legs and core for powerful skiing, landing jumps, and absorbing terrain; improved endurance to stay sharp from first chair to last; explosive power and quickness for confident edge control; and enhanced balance and agility for dynamic movement and quick recovery.
Battersby said the program “aims to help athletes hit the slopes with more confidence, resilience, and mental toughness.” She added that the group environment fosters community and accountability among like-minded mountain athletes working toward the same goal.
Registration is open at ashleticsllc.com/snow-conditioning.
