PARK CITY — Park City Mountain has announced Friday, Nov. 21, as its anticipated opening day for the 2025/26 ski and snowboard season, marking the official start of another winter on the slopes.
The date is part of Vail Resorts’ broader slate of planned openings across its Rocky Mountain resorts, though the company noted that weather and conditions will ultimately determine when lifts begin turning.
For Park City Mountain, the day represents more than just a return to skiing and riding. Resort leaders say it’s a community milestone, drawing visitors, seasonal employees, and local families back together after the off-season.
“This season is one of the most exciting yet at Park City Mountain,” Vice President and COO Deidra Walsh said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to debut the brand-new Sunrise Gondola at Canyons Village, making access to the resort’s boundless slopes faster and easier than ever.”
Other upgrades include a reimagined learning zone near Red Pine Lodge designed to improve the beginner experience, a refreshed Summit House Lodge, and the return of on-mountain events and popular Orange Bubble Bites donuts at Canyons Village.
The resort is planning an expanded slate of activities throughout the winter, from base-area celebrations to après-ski gatherings, as it continues investing in both guest experience and infrastructure.
Park City Mountain operates more than 7,300 acres of skiable terrain, making it the largest resort in the United States.
