PARK CITY, Utah — A new fitness studio designed with Park City’s active community in mind will open at Junction Commons this September. The studio uses a machine apparatus to isolate and work different muscles groups. Bodyrok Park City is owned by longtime skier and fitness teacher Cameron Klaus.
Klaus recently relocated from her hometown of San Diego, California, where she worked as a certified Bodyrok instructor. She discovered the workout during her freshman year of college and quickly immersed herself in the practice, eventually working her way from studio receptionist to the teaching floor. When she decided to make Park City her full-time home, she also wanted to bring the Bodyrok franchise with her.
“I really resonated with the slower movement,” Klaus said. “It’s very focused on mind-body connection.”
The new studio features 12 Bodyrok machines, wall-length mirrors, customizable lighting, and a high-quality sound system. “It’s a really fun environment while you’re also in a tough workout,” Klaus added.
For Klaus, the Bodyrok method has been the perfect complement to skiing and other outdoor activities. “It complements every single activity because you’re building muscle and strength, and a lot of it is core focused,” she said. “That translates into biking, running, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing — anything where you need strength.”
Bodyrok Park City will offer eight different reformer classes tailored to various muscle groups and adaptable for both beginners and advanced participants. The studio opens this September at Junction Commons.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Bodyrok Park City is a Lagree Fitness studio. Bodyrok has created their own fitness method that is separate from Pilates or Lagree.
