Empowerment and ease: Kundalini Yoga with Morgan Lulu at PC Yoga Collective

PARK CITY, Utah — For Morgan Lulu, yoga is more than a physical practice; it’s a pathway to self-compassion, resilience, and joy. A certified clinical hypnotherapist, past-life regression specialist, and Kundalini Yoga teacher, Lulu blends her diverse training to create classes at PC Yoga Collective that are equal parts grounding, challenging, and uplifting.

Her journey began early. Lulu first meditated at age 15, quietly cultivating a practice in her bedroom before ever stepping onto a yoga mat. “I didn’t really tell anybody about it, but I immediately reaped the benefits,” she said. “When I finally took a yoga class in college, my body just felt so happy, so aligned, and so light. I was hooked.”

It was, however, discovering Kundalini Yoga that brought her practice into complete focus. “For me, it was the missing piece,” she said. “It connected the mind and the body on such a beautiful level that it felt deeply spiritual, almost like a full-body meditation. It shook my world up in the best way.”

Lulu trained with the late Guru Jagat of Rama Institute, a teacher she describes as “punk rock, feminist, rebel artist, poet, creator — a truly inspiring woman” who embraced a no-dogma approach to Kundalini Yoga. She later completed a trauma-informed teacher training with Yoga Farm Ithaca in New York during the pandemic. “I never thought I’d do yoga teacher training online, but it was exactly the right work at the moment,” she said. “It was about creating a safe, inviting space for all yogis, all bodies.”

Her background in clinical hypnotherapy plays a central role in her teaching. “Hypnosis is subconscious mind training — the part of the mind that drives our behaviors and thoughts,” she said. “Meditation is conscious mind training. When you combine them, that’s the key to everything. You can choose the mind you want.”

At the heart of her classes is what Lulu calls “activating radical self-compassion,” which she sees as a lifelong practice. “We can always love ourselves a little more,” she said. “Sometimes I’ll have students think about the love they feel for a child, a pet, or a loved one and then turn that love back toward themselves. What would it feel like to feel your own love?”

In her Thursday morning Kundalini class, new students are always welcome. “Everybody’s a newbie in their practice that day,” she said. “I invite people to show up with a beginner’s mindset. There’s always something new to learn.”

A typical class progresses from active movement to deep stillness, encompassing breathwork, chanting, postures, meditation, and culminating in a gong bath in low light, accompanied by blankets and eye pillows. “We build energy in the body, move it, clear it and then the gong seals the work,” Lulu said. “The body’s so intelligent; the calm goes exactly where it needs to go. People leave feeling blissful, relaxed, and grounded.”

Beyond the practice itself, Lulu treasures the community at PC Yoga Collective. “After COVID, it was the first place I felt comfortable interacting with people again,” she said. “The energy is so warm and inviting. You meet familiar faces, but it’s just as easy to connect with someone new. That’s always been the vibe here.”

Founded with a focus on inclusivity, high-quality instruction, and a deep respect for yoga as a living practice, PC Yoga Collective offers a wide range of classes for all levels, from restorative and vinyasa flow to specialized trainings and workshops. Lulu describes it as “a beautiful, sacred, joyful place” where students can come exactly as they are.

“The trainings here are phenomenal,” she said. “Whether you’re a yoga teacher, a longtime practitioner, or brand new to yoga, it’s such an accessible and powerful way to deepen your knowledge of your body and your practice. It has made my life more incredible in ways I can’t even express.”

Lulu teaches Kundalini Yoga at 10:30 a.m. every Thursday at PC Yoga Collective. “You don’t have to be flexible, you don’t have to wear fancy yoga clothes. You can just show up exactly as you are,” she said.
