HEBER CITY, Utah — The Wasatch Women Mountain Collective (WWMC), in collaboration with Wasatch Adventure Guides and Stio’s Park City Mountain Studio, has announced two additional dates for its popular Intro to Fly Fishing clinics: Sunday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 14. The full-day events will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Heber.
These clinics are designed for beginner anglers and are open to women ages 18 and up who are interested in learning a new outdoor skill while networking with like-minded community members. Experienced female guides from Wasatch Adventure Guides will lead each session and include instruction on gear setup, knot tying, casting, entomology, line management, and fish handling.
The $250 registration fee covers all necessary gear — including rod, reel, waders, and boots — as well as guided instruction on land and in the river. Participants must secure a Utah fishing license before the event; tax and guide gratuity are not included in the fee.
The program is part of WWMC’s seasonal lineup aimed at fostering community and confidence through outdoor adventure. Other offerings include summer hiking meetups and full moon snowshoe tours in winter.
Participants will receive a detailed itinerary and gear checklist after registration. WWMC events are intended to create space for local women from Park City, Heber Valley, and the Salt Lake City area to connect through nature-based experiences guided by local experts.
