Updated: Beulah Fire spreads to more than 300 acres in Summit County, evacuations underway

Updated at 2:37 p.m. – Summit County officials report the fire is burning 3-4 miles east of Mirror Lake Hwy / Manor Lands. Evacuations are in place for Bear River & Mill Creek (a tributary of E. Fork Bear River—NOT Millcreek Canyon in SLC).
A DPS helicopter has been requested to assist with evacuations of campers in the vicinity. Stay clear of the area per Summit County.
Updated at 1:37 p.m. – According to official radio correspondence, the Beulah Fire has now grown to between 300 and 400 acres and additional search and rescue resources have been requested for evacuations in the area.
Evacuations are ongoing on Mill Creek Road and E Fork Bear River Road, according to Watch Duty.
According to Jim Madison, who is a full time resident of the Manor Lands area and manages the HOA there, the fire is currently burning approximately 5-6 miles east, southeast of Manor Lands, near Deadman Mountain and pushing north.
“It’s dense forest and it’s way back in there,” he said.
No structures in the Manor Lands area are currently under threat.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A wildfire that started Thursday morning in Summit County, East of Mirror Lake Highway, has grown to 15 acres and is threatening structures, prompting officials to request helicopter assistance for camper evacuations.
The Beulah Fire is located along the Left Hand Fork Trail, 1.5 miles northwest of Mount Beulah, according to Watch Duty. The fire was first reported at 8:24 a.m. Thursday and initially measured 0.1 acres.
The public is being asked to avoid the area while crews work to contain the fire.
The fire is currently listed as active with no containment percentage reported.
