Two stabbed during private event at Heber City restaurant

HEBER CITY, Utah — Heber City Police are investigating a double stabbing that occurred late Sunday night during a private event at a local restaurant.

According to a press release from the Heber City Police Department, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at The Junction Restaurant at approximately 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 20. While officers were en route, they were informed that the suspects had fled the area.

Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old man inside the restaurant with a stab wound to the abdomen. Officers administered life-saving aid until emergency medical services arrived. A second victim, a 21-year-old man, was found outside the restaurant with a stab wound to the leg. He was treated at the scene by deputies from the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office and personnel from the Wasatch County Fire Department.

Preliminary findings indicate that the stabbing took place during a private quinceañera celebration being held at the restaurant. Police said the incident remains under active investigation.

The Junction Restaurant declined to comment when contacted by phone.

No further details, including suspect descriptions or potential motives, were released.
