PARK CITY, Utah — Thousands of soccer players ages 8-18 will gather in the Wasatch Back to compete in the Park City Extreme Cup Soccer Tournament from July 24 through 26.
The Park City Extreme Cup is one of the largest sanctioned U.S. Youth Soccer tournaments in the state of Utah. Competition is fierce every year, as teams from across the western states come together to test their skills. The tournament draws around 9,000 athletes and twice as many spectators.
Games will be played across Summit and Wasatch counties. “To continue to accommodate the growing demand of teams wishing to participate in The Extreme Cup, we will be utilizing fields in Kamas, Oakley, Francis and Heber, as well as throughout the Park City area,” wrote the organizers.
Pool play will take place on the first two days of the tournament, with semis and finals on Saturday, July 26.
After last year’s tournament, the Utah Youth Soccer Association awarded Cora Lucero Reddan, director of the Extreme Cup tournament, as the Administrator of the Year. Reddan has directed the tournament since 2017, and under her tenure, the tournament has grown to host over 480 boys and girls teams annually.
