PARK CITY, Utah — Community members and their dogs gathered Tuesday to celebrate the renaming of Quinn’s Junction Dog Park to the Ian Weinman Legacy Dog Park. The tribute honors Ian Weinman, who first proposed the idea for the park to the Park City Council at age 10.
Following Weinman’s death in September at age 29, his family and friends sought a meaningful way to honor his legacy. Because the park began with his vision, renaming it served as a fitting tribute to his early civic spirit.
Attendees also enjoyed recent improvements to the facility, including new trees and designated areas for large and small dogs.
