PARK CITY, Utah — Lia Block, 18, announced on Wednesday that she’ll return to Kentucky in August to drive her car in the the same Forest Rally Race that she won in 2023.

At Saturday’s X Games Salt Lake City, a special booth showcased two of Ken Block’s world-famous race cars, honoring the late motorsports legend and highlighting the work of the Ken Block Foundation. Established by the Park City family, the foundation creates pathways and provides resources for underserved, highly driven individuals—whom Block affectionately called “motivated misfits”—who aspire to excel in action sports and motorsports.
Action sports and motorsports’s Nitrocross competition series is where Block achieved two 6th place finishes in the Group E category during the first round of last season.
As the world enjoyed the release on Thursday of the Hollywood blockbuster movie “F1,” Block is enjoying her second year as a driver in the F1 Academy, an all-female sister-series to F1.
She competed earlier this month at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal and will next race in the Netherlands this fall, followed by Singapore, where she achieved a fourth-place finish last year. In previous years, she would have been competing this month in Colorado’s Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
