OAKLEY, Utah — The Summit Arts Market returns to Oakley on Saturday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The beloved family-friendly event is the perfect combination of creativity, community and mountain town charm.

With a stunning mountain backdrop, the Red Barn in Oakley provides an idyllic setting for the annual Summit Arts Market, which showcases more than 40 local artists inside and outside the barn.

The free event is accessible to people of all ages and abilities. The entire family can enjoy incredible artwork from talented Summit County artists, live art demonstrations, hands-on art activities, live music and food trucks.

The focus of this arts market has always been to provide an arts and culture experience that supports the work of local artists and introduces the community to an array of artistic possibilities.

Artwork ranges from contemporary to traditional and includes a variety of mediums, such as acrylic, ceramics, photography, fiber arts, watercolor, jewelry and more.

“The Arts Council exists to support local artists and uplift arts and culture in our community. Many artists throughout Summit County depend on our outreach efforts and events like the Summit Arts Market to continue creating,” says Jocelyn Scudder, executive director of the Arts Council. “We are consistently working to provide platforms for the community to come together through the arts.”
