$6M renovation of aquatic facilities at PC MARC is well underway

The new facilities will open in the summer of 2026
PARK CITY, Utah — Construction is well underway on the $6 million renovation of the Park City MARC outdoor aquatic facilities, with a grand opening slated for summer 2026.
According to an update from Park City Recreation, demolition of the old lap pool is complete, and construction on the new facility is in progress. Meanwhile, the leisure pool remains open through August 17.
“We have footings poured for the pump house that will house the slide, the climbing wall, and all the mechanical equipment,” said Recreation Director Ken Fisher. The final designs also include an 8-lane lap pool and gradual, zero-entry access for the new leisure area.
After the leisure pool closure, demolition will begin in that area to make way for the rest of the new facility. Fisher teased there will be end-of-summer activities to celebrate and make some “last splashes” before the leisure pool closes.
