PARK CITY, Utah — The colors of Pride flew high at Deer Valley Resort on Sunday as the community came together for the second annual Mountain Pride Day, a free, family-friendly celebration held at Snow Park Plaza in honor of Pride Month. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., locals and visitors joined in a day of community, visibility, and outdoor fun.

The day kicked off with a free outdoor yoga session led by Park City Yoga Collective at the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, inviting participants to ground in presence before heading into the festivities.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed live music, sweet treats, and access to the mountain’s hiking and biking trails. At 1 p.m., a group Pride Ride descended the Ripple trail from the top of the Homestake Express Chairlift, wrapping the event in motion and unity.

A donation-based opportunity drawing benefited Summit Pride, the local nonprofit at the heart of the event. Originally formed by Park City Municipal in 2021 as the Park City LGBTQ+ Taskforce, Summit Pride became a 501(c)(3) in 2024. The organization has since grown into an independent coalition of queer residents from across the Wasatch Back, collaborating on advocacy, social events, and charitable programs that foster connection and belonging.

Deer Valley will additionally contribute a portion of the weekend’s ticket sales to the organization, further supporting its work to sustain and amplify LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the Wasatch Back.
