SNAPPED: Park City School District honors retirees, celebrating 380 years of service

PARK CITY, Utah The Park City School District saluted its latest class of retirees, celebrating more than 380 years of combined service to local students and families.

In a Facebook post, district officials thanked the departing educators and staff, “your dedication has helped shape the lives of so many students and made our schools stronger.”

The tribute noted four retirees not pictured in the announcement — Park City High School Director of Bands Chris Taylor, Treasure Mountain Junior High ELL Specialist (English Language Learners) Elizabeth Weiss, Ecker Hill Middle School Orchestra Dennis Harrington and Parley’s Park Elementary School Librarian Cheryl Birt — and urged the community to “take a moment to congratulate and thank these amazing individuals for all they’ve given to our schools and community.”

District leaders said the group’s collective legacy of nearly four centuries underscores a deep commitment to public education in Park City.
