PARK CITY, Utah — Nearly 1,000 runners laced up for Saturday’s Running with Ed relay, and the community’s signature school fundraiser is already at $245,000 and climbing.
Participant donations and OK3 Air underwrote entry fees for 150 Park City School District students on free and reduced-price lunch, while 200 teachers, administrators and staff ran free of charge thanks to Christie’s International Real Estate.
Seven themed exchange zones, staged by school PTOs/As, Bev Pacal at Treasure Mountain Junior High, and the Utah Olympic Park/Beau Collective, kept the course buzzing. Judges crowned the McPolin Ostriches best costume, followed by the Parley’s Park OG Olympians and TNT. Parley’s Park Elementary also snagged Best Exchange, with a special nod to TMJH for its nostalgic “trip down memory lane.”
