PCHS Miners girls Lacrosse wins Utah State Championship title

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Park City High School Miners girls lacrosse team won the Utah 5A state championship game defeating Olympus 16 – 6 at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman on Thursday, claiming their third state title in five years.
“A huge congrats on an incredible run and a well-deserved title.” The Utah High School Athletics Association wrote on social media. “Way to represent!”
Sweet revenge was felt by Park City after last year when the Olympus Titans earned a narrow win over the Miners in the finals.
The first half ended with 5 points Olympus to Park City’s 10 points and in the second half of the game Olympus scored 1 point and Park City 6.
Minor seniors Megan Magee, Rogan Crawford, and Maddie McHenry each put points on the board.
Park City made their way to the big game having beat West Jordan in the quarter finals 21-2., then Cedar Valley in the semi’s 17-1.
