PARK CITY, Utah – The streets and trails of Park City will be filled with color, costumes, and community spirit this Saturday, May 17, as Running with Ed—a popular relay race and major fundraiser for the Park City Education Foundation—returns for its 2025 edition.
Now in its 15th year, the race has been voted Park City’s Favorite Fundraiser for 10 years straight. It brings together hundreds of participants and supporters to raise critical funds for local schools, teachers, and students in the Park City School District.
This year’s eight-leg course starts and finishes at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse, weaving through town and visiting six PCSD schools, each competing to host the most high-energy, entertaining exchange point—so fun, you might forget you’re mid-race. The legs range from 1.3 miles to 5.7 miles, making the event accessible to runners, walkers, and even costumed strollers of all ages and fitness levels.
The course will take participants across varied terrain, including sweet singletrack trails, crushed gravel paths, and paved multi-use routes. And yes—the famed Utah Olympic Park stairs are back. One “lucky” team member gets to conquer the climb while teammates cheer them on in awe.
Teams of up to eight decide how to divvy up the legs, but the real goal is to have fun and support the Park City Education Foundation’s mission to enrich student experiences and fund classroom innovation across the district.
The event ends with a finish-line celebration at the Fieldhouse, complete with music, food, and plenty of community cheer.
