SUMMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A juvenile was cited for multiple offenses Thursday after fleeing from a deputy on an electric motorcycle in a residential area.
The incident began when a sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a juvenile male operating an electric motorcycle at reckless speeds on Engen Loop in Pinebrook, according to a sheriff’s office report.
The juvenile did not stop and fled into a nearby neighborhood, where he hid behind a house. A witness directed the deputy to the juvenile’s location, and he was subsequently detained.
The juvenile was issued a referral for multiple offenses and later released to his mother. The electric motorcycle was impounded by the state for tax reasons.
