WASATCH COUNTY, Utah – Local public works departments are gearing up to celebrate National Public Works Week from May 19 to May 21, with Heber City Public Works taking the lead in coordinating the festivities. Organized annually by the American Public Works Association (APWA), the week aims to raise awareness about the essential services provided by public works departments and to recognize the dedication of the men and women who maintain vital infrastructure.
This year marks the fourth consecutive year that Heber City Public Works, under the guidance of Candace Bufton, has spearheaded community events, which will also receive support from Wasatch County, several special service districts, Midway, Jordanelle, and other water providers.
