PARK CITY, Utah — A significant road reconstruction project on Homestake Road is set to begin Tuesday, May 27, immediately following Memorial Day weekend, according to city officials.
The project will rebuild Homestake Road from Kearns Boulevard to Park Avenue, featuring several improvements designed to enhance safety and accessibility in the area.
Construction crews will install a 12-foot multi-use pathway and a 6-foot sidewalk alongside upgraded parking facilities. These enhancements aim to make the area safer for pedestrians and cyclists while improving connectivity throughout the neighborhood.
The project coincides with preparation for the completion of the EngineHouse Development and the future Bonanza Park Redevelopment, serving as part of broader beautification efforts in the area.
During the construction period, which begins May 27, Homestake Road will be closed to through traffic and on-street parking will be unavailable.
Residents and visitors seeking additional information about the project can visit the city’s website for more details about construction timelines, detour routes and project updates.
